Brian Knopp has been named Director of Sales for the LYNCHBURG GRAND HOTEL in Downtown Lynchburg.

Brian and his family moved to Lynchburg in 1999 after he served as the Assistant Director of Tourism for the City of Savannah. As the Assistant Director, Brian was responsible for tourism development for the City of Savannah and the surrounding region. Brian moved to Lynchburg to serve as the Vice President of the Lynchburg Area Chamber of Commerce. In this position he was in charge oftourism development for the City of Lynchburg and the surrounding region. 

Brian has over 45 years of sales experience and 35 years in the hospitality industry. For the past twenty-two years Brian has served in the hotel industry in Lynchburg, and he has been part of the opening team for 6 hotels in Central Virginia. Brian is well known for promoting service and team building and for implementing outstanding guest service, establishing core values, and providing excellence in sales.  

The LYNCHBURG GRAND HOTEL is located at 601 Main Street in Downtown Lynchburg (directly across the street from Lynchburg’s Academy of Arts).  With 242 rooms, THE GRAND HOTEL is Lynchburg’s largest hotel and has the largest ballroom in Central Virginia and is an excellent location for meetings, events and family gatherings.  More than 30 restaurants are located within walking distance.
