When you find the right person, the best practice is to cost train them into different departments so you have a more experienced team.

You also need to empower them to makes decisions and listen to their ideas for improvement. The best ideas that I get are from fellow team members.

Finally, you need to keep them and reduce turnover. This is done by building a caring culture. If the team members feel cared about, they will give us the same care.
